Test Borne Arcade Pandora’s Box 5s, 999 jeux en Retrogaming

15

On y trouve

8 Things to Know About Adjusting Your Taylor Made R15 Driver Settings

.Review by by Derek Murray at ForeGolf

August 2015 ARTICLE UPDATE: We’ve conducted even more R&D on the R15, Read the latest Expert Guide to TaylorMade R15 Driver Adjustability

March 2015 Last month we wrote an independent review of the RSi Irons & R15 Driver but here’s some tips on how to adjust the TaylorMade R15 Driver. You will find some similarities of the new R15 Driver to the SLDR driver and Jet Speed drivers of last season.

There are two moveable parts to the R15 Driver 1) the hosel sleeve where the shaft goes 2) the two silver sliding weights on the sole

The sleeve on the R15 works a lot like the SLDR driver and Jet Speed drivers of last season where you can open the screw at the neck and rotate the head. The sliding weight looks a lot like the SLDR but now splits in half so you can better position the weight

8 Things to Know About Adjusting Your Taylor Made R15 Driver

.

1

There are 12 different positions/notches around the hosels circumference. Each notch creates a different angle/position of the head. There is a small dark arrow on the hosel to show where you need to set the hosel position to have that setting take effect.

. 2

The LOWER position creates a lower launching ball flight and it also opens the face – more fade to the right for a R/H golfer.

. 3

The HIGHER setting creates a higher launching ball flight and closes the angle of the face – more draw to the left for a R/H golfer.

. 4

The UPRT LIE (upright) setting allows for the current flatter lie of the R15 to be adjusted to a more upright angle for taller golfers, that visually need to see a more upright angled head.

This setting also helps golfers that need a neutral/square face angle but need to create more draw on their shots.

. 5

There are notches between the different settings which are the incremental changes towards that setting. So for instance if you want the head to be a little UPRIGHT and a little LOWER flighted – then position the hosel at the notch between the two settings.

. 6

As the hosel affects the head angle and in turn the ball flight, coordinating the right shaft flex, tip and specifically the correct torque of the shaft is very important. The way the head turns or releases through impact are controlled with the help of torque.

As a rough guide if you need less movement or a firmer feel use a low torque and if you need a more active feel go for a higher torque.

. 7

The sliding weights on the sole are not as effective for influencing the left to right (Fade) or right to left (Draw) spin axis on the ball. They are actually better suited to increase speed and lower spin on the ball.

From our testing the weights should be placed each side of where you hit the ball on the face. Capture where your strikes are on the face using face tape or spray and then split the weights and align them so they sit each side of the strike marks (even if they are off-centre).

Do this, and watch the ball speed increase and the stability of the clubhead improve.

. 8

This might sound simple but there are Right and Left sleeves. Make sure your sleeve is a R/H one if you are right handed and a L/H one if you are left handed. It’s printed on the sleeve with a simple R/H and L/H so you can check.

. What can you do to get the BEST from the R15 ?

The bottom line is that the driver is really well designed and is made to be tweaked to suit you. So get your wrench out and use this guide to test some of the different settings and work out what will suit you and your ball flight best. . garmin-approach-s6-mw

The S6’s robust feature set includes custom pin placement, touch screen navigation, swing tempo readings, and smartphone integration via bluetooth.

Also worth noting is that unlike most GPS devices that give you distances in front/center/back, the S6 provides its to-the-green measurements as near/center/far, which, as the nomenclature suggests, gives you distances to the nearest and farthest point on the green from where you lie.

The Features You Want:

  • Custom pin placement
  • Touch screen
  • Full color display
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • Graphical representation of fairway, hazards, and green in color
  • Swing Tempo and Strength data

To be improved:

  • A near complete offering, the S6 offers a glimpse of what could be. We’d love to see more swing data (swing speed, hand path, etc.) in future releases.

The Best New Fairway Woods – 2016 | 60S Today

17

With so many products on the market these days it can sometimes be a struggle figuring out which club is best for you. To help you find the best fairway wood suited to you we at Golfshake have to put together this handy guide.

Take a closer look at some of the very best new Fairway Woods to hit the market in 2016 including Callaway XR16, COBRA F6, Mizuno JPX EZ, NIKE Vapor Fly, PING G, Srixon Z355, TaylorMade M1 and Titleist 915.

Callaway XR 16

Callaway XR16

One common factor through Callaway’s XR 16 range is promoting more speed and distance and they have been successful in doing so with the new XR 16 fairway wood.

The head shape has been increased in order to enlarge MOI as well as allowing the CG to be moved lower and deeper for distance and forgiveness on those off centre hits. It’s cambered sole makes Callaway’s lightest crown yet. Callaway have also take their Forged Hyper Speed Face Cup and made it hotter and thinner than ever to increase speed and offer and larger sweet spot. The aerodynamics have also been improved to offer even more speed.

COBRA F6 Fairway

COBRA F6

COBRA have released their longest and most forgiving adjustable fairway wood to date. Designed for all swing types, The Cobra F6 medium shaped fairway wood boasts a simple front or back CG settings in order to maximise distance through optimum spin and higher ball speeds while still offering ultimate forgiveness.

The King F6 is the first fairway wood that offers front and back CG adjustability settings. The front CG position gives a more penetrating ball flight with more roll and the back CG position offers a towering ball flight with more control. The speed channel, which is an exclusive Cobra innovation, minimises thickness around the perimeter of the face and increases ball speeds across the face for greater distance. The F6 fairways also come with adjustable loft settings to help manage trajectory and fine tune launch conditions to maximise distance on any course.

If you’re more inclined to choose a club based on whether it is aesthetically pleasing or not, it is worth bearing in mind that this the Cobra F6 fairway comes in both black and blue.

Recognisable by their larger, confidence inspiring footprint, the brand new Mizuno JPX EZ fairway offers the ability to produce a higher and softer landing ball flight with optimal distance through a whole host of new technology.

The inventive Shockwave Soles offers increased ball speeds as it enables the entire clubhead to contract and expand, offering an additional energy source on impact. This is also relates to higher ball speeds when you hit it off the turf as the additional mass lowers the club head’s centre of gravity. The larger footprint also inspires confidence and the crown has been reinforced with a waffle affect that moves weight lower in the head for a softer ball flight.

Finally, the fairway wood has been fitted with a quick fit adjustable hosel. This means you have the freedom 4 degrees of loft range as well as upright settings to optimize launch characteristics.

Nike Vapor Fly Fairway Wood

Nike Vapor

Like the driver, the fairway wood features an extremely thin and light Flyweight Crown to move the weight lower in order to achieve a higher launch angle with less spin. When you add to that the FlexLoft Fairway hosel, you have what could be considered one of the most adjustable fairway woods on the market.

The FlexLoft Fairway hosel offers golfers the unique ability to adjust the loft and lie angle independently with six different settings available in all five of the models. The new HyperFlight face is thinned out around the perimeter of the face to offer more forgiveness and distance on them off-center hits and the Compression Channel enables a springboard effect to amplify the performance of those miss-hits. To add, the FlyBeam Reinforced Covert Cavity Back dramatically stiffens the chassis while redistributing weight to the heel and toe for maximum impact efficiency, tuned acoustics and forgiveness.

PING have made it easier to get the ball airborne by lowering the leading edge of the face which helps get the club under the ball and offer a strike higher up the club face. Like the drivers, the PING G fairway woods have an ultra-thin crown that in turn means weight can be reallocated within the head to move the CG even lower and deeper, as well as maximised MOI. This also ensures high launch, low spin and extreme forgiveness.

Taylormade’s first carbon-crown fairway wood lowers CG for optimal launch conditions and speed every time you hit the ball. Like the driver, the M1 fairway also has the Front Track System.

The Front Track System has two 15g tungsten weights that can be easily moved to promote a draw or a fade. You can also separate the two weights which ultimately offers greater forgiveness with ball speed on miss-hits. The front track of the M1 fairway is also noted for featuring a reduced channel to enhance turf-to-sole interaction. The adjustable loft sleeve with 12 positions means you can increase or decrease the loft 2 degrees either way.

Nike Vapor Fly Irons Review | 60S Today

17

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-8

50 Words or Less

The Nike Vapor Fly irons are designed to be higher launching, longer flying, and full of modern design for stability and better feel.

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-13

Introduction

Nike earned some strong praise from us with Vapor Fly Pro irons, but now we’re taking a look at the Super Game Improvement (SGI) relative, the Nike Vapor Fly irons. As much as we would all like to be able to play like pros and play clubs like theirs, the simple truth is that isn’t always an option. Major manufacturers have been making GI and SGI clubs for years, but I would argue that these types of clubs have only been of higher quality in recent years. Nike, being known for innovation and access to high-caliber engineering resources, has produced one of the stronger SGI irons in the modern market.

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-14

Looks

Look, if you’re looking for an SGI iron that’s disguised as a small player’s blade, the Nike Vapor Fly irons are not it, but that’s ok. The Nike Vapor Fly irons are designed to give players extra stability but also confidence at address that the club is going to provide all the help it can. The topline is thick, there is a good amount of offset, and the soles are nice and thick.

The cavity back of the club has the signature volt yellow Nike swoosh, the Flybeams that help stabilize the body of the club are visible, and you see blue accenting and the same pattern on the rubber dampening material that’s found on the new driver heads. Nike did a good job making the Vapor Fly irons stay consistent with the branding of this season’s Fly line.

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-10

Sound & Feel

The long irons of the Nike Vapor Fly irons are hollow and the shorter irons have what Nike is calling a RZN pocket, which both have a very direct impact on the sound and feel of the club. The sound in the longer irons is very metallic (note: not like a fairway wood or hybrid) and is not a traditional iron sound, which I’m ok with in this SGI set. The shorter irons give you a little bit more slingshot snap at impact and lose a good amount of that metallic sound. The consistent sound characteristic is that they sound very explosive, like the ball is really popping off the face, even on mishits. The biggest negative in the sound department is when you make a terrible swing and take a bit too much ground. The club and the turf sound like they just got into a fight, but you’ll be surprised at the results of your short (more on that later).

The feel very much matches the characteristics of sound. The longer irons feel a bit hollow and very forgiving all over the face. When you really lay into one of the longer irons and hit a good shot, it really feels like a canon shooting off the face. The shorter irons have a bit more response in them and similar forgiveness, but the explosive feeling is a bit more familiar and closer to the standard “trampoline” or “spring” effect often described in SGI irons.

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-11

Performance

There were two things that jumped out at me in reviewing the Nike Vapor Fly irons beyond the usual positive attributes in SGI irons. First was that, yes, when I hit these well, I hit them a mile. Admittedly, modern SGI irons are prone to stronger lofts, but I’m talking up to about 30 yards more in the longer clubs. The high end for the shorter irons was about 20 yards. Now, there are a million things that could contribute to this, but the biggest takeaway is that a player looking to get some extra yards out of their SGI irons should be in good shape with the Nike Vapor Fly irons.

The second thing I noticed, and alluded to in the “Sound” section, was that the Vapor Flys had one of the best bailouts I’ve ever seen. I can’t tell you how many shots I just flat out “trenched” over the first twenty swings or so. I was hitting so fat which would result in a lot of loss in speed and hitting the ball high on the face. Almost miraculously, the ball would still fly straight and get out there a ways. Now, don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t hitting a fat shot 189 yards that was an intended 200, but I would find myself chucking the ball straight ahead 150-165 yards. Yes, this would be trouble if I had to carry water, but down the fairway to the green, I’m still in ok shape with decent progress. All I can say is that this was not an anomaly for me and proved to be a very common occurrence. As silly as it sounds, this was the most impressive part of this club for me. A lot of people make SGI clubs that go a mile and are forgiving, but this is the first time where I’ve ever seen one rescue a bad shot so well. When I think of the player looking for the benefits of an SGI iron, I think this is an absolute gift in these irons.

Nike-Vapor-Fly-Irons-2

Conclusion

It’s funny, as I sat down to write this, I wasn’t sure what exactly it was going to look like “on paper.” The Nike Vapor Fly irons may seem like just another new flashy modern SGI option, but they really are a very good option to consider if you’re the right demographic for the club. The tools are there to hit long bombs when you make a good swing, but for the times you don’t, the Nike Vapor Fly irons have what it takes to minimize the damage and keep you in play.

PGA Championship 2015 viewing guide: Coverage schedule and how to watch live online from Whistling Straits

17

There are just four more days of major championship golf left this year, which is awful news. But at the start of the week, we have an amazing set of circumstances amplifying the hype for the 2015 PGA Championship.

Jordan Spieth is going for the American Slam, the world No. 1 ranking, and perhaps the “greatest season ever.” Rory McIlroy makes a sooner-than-expected return from a nasty ankle injury to defend his title and protect his No. 1 status. The PGA paired them together for the first two rounds! Whistling Straits may not have the history or the cachet of other venues, but it may be the prettiest August setting for golf in the United States. The players love it and it will be wonderful for TV. There’s so much here to be excited about for these last four rounds. Maybe an improved and competitive Tiger would be the only thing that could make this week, as it looks at the start, any better.

It should be the perfect cap to a great majors season and the broadcast beneficiaries will be CBS and TNT. CBS is the only network in the game with the rights to multiple majors. ESPN enjoys a subcontract for the first two rounds of the Masters and has just one year left on their rights deal carrying all of the British Open. But no network other than CBS, the primary TV partner of the PGA Tour, has the weekend at multiple majors.

The Masters is obviously their marquee golf property. It’s the best and most highly-rated tournament of the year. But the month of August is probably CBS’ most loaded stretch on their entire golf calendar. There was last week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, they’re only WGC property, and that had 48 of the top 50 players in the world. Then there’s the final major of the season, which wraps up before football completely overwhelms sports. And they also have the opening event of the FedExCup playoffs later this month. It’s not quite the “Season of Nantz” sequence that includes March Madness and the Masters, but this August of golf leading into NFL kickoff does mean we get an extra-excitable Jim Nantz. Here he is on the eve of the PGA doing an interview – feel the enthusiasm!

Photo via Green Bay Press Gazette-USA TODAY Sports

Splitting the duties with CBS this week will be TNT, which has the first two rounds and the early coverage on the weekend. This is one week of the year that TNT ventures into men’s pro golf. They do some work with the PGA at the Grand Slam of Golf, but that’s not an official event and a silly season game with just four players. So this is the week you get Ernie Johnson, usually confined to making fun of Charles Barkley’s golf swing, up in the booth and on the course. Many of the CBS announcers and analysts will also work large chunks of the broadcast in the first two rounds.

The coverage of the first two rounds on TNT actually starts fairly late compared to the U.S. Open and British Open. Both FOX and ESPN come on the air for the morning wave of tee times at those two majors, but TNT will not go live until 2 p.m. ET. The Masters maintains their own antiquated traditions of limiting the coverage and exposure of their event, so it’s hard or even useless to compare any TV schedule to that ridiculously frustrating practice at Augusta.

While there won’t be TV coverage early on Thursday and Friday, there will be a marquee groups stream up and running on 60stoday.com and on their mobile app. On Thursday, that will follow Tiger Woods, Martin Kaymer, and Keegan Bradley and the assumption is that Friday morning’s stream will follow the headline tee time of the entire tournament – Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, and Zach Johnson. Tiger tees off at 9:15 a.m. ET on Thursday, while the Spieth-Rory duo goes at 9:05 a.m. on Friday.

In addition to the morning marquee group streams. 60stoday.com will also offer a stream dedicated to Whistling Straits’ four par-3s – some of the course’s more challenging and scenic holes. There’s also a simulcast stream of all the TV coverage on both 60stoday.com and at 60stoday.com when they join the party on the weekend. So while the TV coverage is less than the preceding two majors, there’s still a handful of stream offerings and you will be able to watch the biggest names throughout all four days.
